PROPOSAL TO MERGE

Parkfield Medical Practice are now at a stage where we need to engage patients in discussions about a possible merger of our practice with the Health and Beyond Partnership.

As such a series of engagement events will be held.

Kaye Staite (f)

BSc (Hons) (Wolverhampton University), RGN, ENB 998, NH3158/NH3092- Diabetes, NH3101 -Tissue Viability and NH4043- Advanced Assessment skills (Wolverhampton University), CPD372-Assessment of the ill/injured child (Coventry University), Respiratory Disease Management in Primary Care – Level 6 (Teeside University) and also Independent Nurse Prescriber (Wolverhampton University)

Kaye has spent 6 years working as a Nurse Practitioner in a GP surgery. Before that she spent 9 years working as a Nurse Practitioner in a walk-in centre. She is trained to assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe for a wide range of minor illness/injuries

Louise Tipping (f)

BSc (Edinburgh Napier University) RGN, Post Graduate Certificate Nurse Practitioner, Consultation and Diagnostic Skills, Diploma in COPD, Diploma in Asthma (Education for Health/OU) CPD372- Assessment of the ill/injured child (Coventry University) and also Independent Nurse Prescriber (Anglia University)

Louise has spent 8 years working as a Nurse Practitioner in GP surgeries. Before that she worked in Accident and Emergency departments. She is trained to assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe for a range of minor illness and injuries.

 

Nurses

We have an excellent team of multi-skilled practice nurses. They can help you with a wide range of services, including dressings, ear syringing, cervical smears, immunisations, travel advice, minor injuries, HRT checks and contraception reviews. The nurses also run their own chronic disease review clinics for long-term conditions such as diabetes, respiratory illness and coronary heart disease.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Nina Currien (f) NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Our three Health Care Assistants assist the Practice Nurses and also see patients in their own clinics, under the supervision of our Practice Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Doctors. They provide a range of nursing services, including health checks, smoking cessation, blood pressure reviews and minor dressings.
