Childhood Vaccinations And Immunisations

Appointments will be sent out for our immunisation clinics, which run at Parkfields every Tuesday from 9.20am - 12.20pm, Wednesday from 1.00 - 4.00pm and at Woodcross every Thursday from 9.00am - 12.00 noon. Please contact us at the practice if you need to make an alternative immunisation appointment or if you have any anxieties or queries regarding immunisations.

Child Health Surveillance Services

We run two child health clinics for pre-school children: one at Parkfields on Mondays from 1.30 -3.30pm and one at Woodcross on Tuesdays from 1.00 - 3.00pm. You do not need an appointment and are welcome to come and see the health visitor with well children when you need advice. Please note these clinics are not for sick children because of the risk of infection to other people's babies and children.

Antenatal Clinic

Midwives visit the practice twice a week and run antenatal clinics. They can deal with all issues relating to pregnancy. If you are pregnant please make an appointment to book in with the midwives.

Cervical Smear

Cervical smears are available under the screening programme and when clinically indicated. Please make an appointment with one of our practice nurses.

Contraception Advice

We offer a full range of advice and information regarding contraception options.

Review Clinics (For Long-term Conditions)

We run a number of special review clinics. If you are receiving treatment for a long-term condition or have had particular health problems in the past, you will be invited for an annual review with our highly trained nursing team. At this review, you will be given an opportunity to discuss any health issues that you have and any medication you are taking will be reviewed.

Minor Surgery

Dr Latunji is a fully trained and fully qualified surgeon. He provides a comprehensive service of surgery, which can be performed under local anaesthetic. This includes removal of lumps and bumps, joint injections, varicose vein injection and vasectomy (counselling and surgery). If you need his services please see a member of the clinical team.

Physiotherapy

We have a team of fully qualified physiotherapists available at Parkfield Medical Centre. The doctor will refer you when they consider it to be appropriate.

Ultrasonographer

At Parkfield Medical Centre we provide an ultrasonograph clinic run by a fully trained ultrasonographer. Referrals are via the doctors.

Vaccinations And Immunisations

All immunisation and vaccinations are available via our practice nurse team. For travel advice and vaccinations, including Flu/Pneumovax, or routine health vaccinations please make an appointment with the practice nurses.
